Yesterday I watched Dr. Shadé Zahrai intellectual cuisine on burnout culture ... So share historic relics insights in the form of stories
Two men start their entrepreneurial journey around their twenties. One Rockefeller ( oil business) and the other one is Andrew Carnegie ( steel business) .
Rockefeller worked 140 hours per week while Andrew spent two hours per day. 7 to 8 hours per week. During their thirties net worth around a million dollars which is impressive but here turn Rockefeller lost hairs and more busy in daily business activities and Andrew Carnegie doesn't appreciate grinding like his friend. So he sells his business to JP Morgan. This opens new doors for Andrew and he earns money at business selling ( IPO) with best advisors while Rockefeller worked hard and paid him more than billions dollars after 60.
Taking more responsibilities on your shoulders doesn't mean you are valuable. It depends what's the output you want to achieve. In Rockefeller he wanted more money, so he stopped looking at the watch while Andrew earned more + less grinding. The best way is to invest in a system.
Rockefeller experience burnout culture
Andrew Carnegie enjoys freedom while work
